Join us for a discussion with IRI’s Patrick Quirk and the Atlantic Council to explore DRL issues and solutions with Dafna Rand, PhD.

1225 I Street Northwest #800 Washington, DC 20005 October 9, 2024 9:30am – 10:45am

Please join the Atlantic Council’s Freedom and Prosperity Center and the International Republican Institute (IRI) for a fireside chat with Dafna Rand, PhD., the newly confirmed Assistant Secretary of State of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL), on the Biden administration’s democracy agenda and the bureau’s priorities.

Supporting democracy in developing countries advances U.S. national security because people are more secure and prosperous with a world that is free and open. The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor at the State Department is central to American efforts to advance freedom and democracy overseas.

The event will be held at the IRI Headquarters, 1225 I St. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20005, on October 9th, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.

The fireside style chat will be moderated by Dr. Patrick Quirk, Vice President for Strategy, Innovation, and Impact at IRI and Nonresident Senior Fellow for Freedom and Democracy with the Atlantic Council’s Freedom and Prosperity Center. Opening remarks will be given by Jenna H. Ben-Yehuda, Executive Vice President of the Atlantic Council.
