Myriah Jordan

Myriah Jordan joined Facebook’s Public Policy team in 2011. In this role, Myriah focuses on public policy development, legislative outreach and policymaker education on a full range of public policy issues related to Facebook. Prior to joining Facebook, Myriah served as General Counsel to United States Senator Richard Burr from 2009 until June of 2011. Her public policy experience also includes work in the Executive Branch, including three years at the White House Chief of Staff’s Office as Special Assistant to the President for Policy in the George W. Bush Administration.   

In 2004, Myriah spent six months working in Iraq on as an Associate General Counsel for the Coalition Provisional Authority, and later became the Deputy General Counsel to the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction. She also spent several years working as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Myriah received a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from John Brown University and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. Originally from Ardmore, Oklahoma, Myriah now lives in Arlington, Virginia.
