Presentation of Initial Findings: On June 28, 2013, IRI presented initial findings of the
assessment to members of the international donor community during a meeting of the
Democratization Steering Committee in Nairobi, Kenya. IRI conducted follow-up phone calls
with members of the Democratization Steering Committee following the presentation in June
and July 2013 to understand donor perspectives on the initial findings and to further understand
where donor and Somaliland stakeholder priorities overlap and to ensure that the strategy is
utilization-focused.
